Unfortunately on the same cemetery are buried Tolkien and Helena Wolinska-Brus. Shame
If you are a Tolkien fan, you have to come here, because here is Tokien and his wifes grave.
As a big fan, I had to pass through Oxford and check few things. It took me a while to find the grave but I felt it was worth it.
As well as Tolkien being buried at this cemetery..our loved ones are there..my son Patrick, my stepson, my mum and dad and 2 lovely Uncles. Its a very special tranquil place.
Very pretty, very peaceful - especially on a Summer's day. Took me 5 minutes to find Tolkien's grave as there are marked stones along the path pointing the way so look out for those. There's only parking for about 10 cars - along the road as soon as you drive in, but as I'm guessing it's usually quiet you should be OK if you choose to drive there. You drive around the small cemetery chapel to get back out.
