Unfortunately, recently had a totally & upsetting negative experience here : singularly due to one individual staff member. He was soooo rude, obnoxious and conceited to me...Very creepy indeed. I complained the next day by phone to M&S Direct Customer Care, who in fairness (I think), informed me that a Senior member of Management from this said, particular Store (my personal local one), would be in touch in due course. They indeed DID contact me ; yet I feel somehow this wasnt resolved. The person in question GLARES at me quie obviously each time I go in - just to innocently shop and part with my money ?! - and to the point it even comes across somewhat that he is rather sniggery towards me, with some colleagues. I feel I should not be intimidated in this unnecessary & uncalled-for way. Supremely UNPROFESSIONAL - upon his part. I may yet take my Complaint further, should the situation not improve. We are a family of x3 - whom shop here a lot; very frequently, and spend our money. I truly do appreciate the great Service from the rest of the lovely staff. Yet remain honestly So genuinely upset about this.
I wish I could take this grocery store to the states. Prices are reasonable, theres also a small care that serves hot food. The store is clean and well organized.
Best place to go grocery shopping in Summertown and whole north Oxford.Always well looked after with wide range of great food and drinks. Staff always very helpful and very well organised.Prices might be higher than in other stores around but there is very good reason for it. Quality of food in this are doesnt have competition.
The system for collection is good, very speedy and well organised. But I'm unfortunately going to drop 1 star, even though not M&S's fault, as the Summertown store is riddled with rude and obnoxious punters. You should get security on the door to confirm whether people are too self centred to enter. Merry Xmas
Just like any other m&s food store...except slightly more expensive than others I've visited recently.Nice food and socks, but lets get real... return every m&s department to an enjoyable shopping experience, rather than a gran time, and the money will roll in. The public want it and will support it.Nobody wants a hightstreet without good knickers, a first class sock, and a selection of pigs in blankets. Buck up or .... Off.Luv u x
