Attended a comedy night. Venue a bit rough round the edges. Drinks reasonably priced and the comedians were great. It was a pleasant change to have 3 really comedians with a great compare as well. Far better than recent venues I've been to which have been hit and miss for entertainment.
Excellent love music venue, organised by a gentleman who clearly loves music and gets some really good, diverse acts to perform..
The music and the atmosfere of this bar is good but the cleaninless needs immediate improvement. The tables were dirty while the place was almost empty. Not to mention the restrooms that were totally unacceptable.
This is Oxfords Biggest INDIE venue, meaning independently owned and run! its all about the music, and is a must visit when visiting oxford and going for a night out. delicious high end drinks/ cocktails/ and lovely draft beers. this is a cocktail bar and venue split! I love it
As a musician I have played live here many times. It's a pleasant venue fairly small in the bar area but a generous space in the live venue in the back. A proper venue unlike places in my hometown of Reading. Proper stage and barrier. A sound booth, good lighting etc..Located in the heart of the student area of Cowley Road, near to the o2 academy and plenty of other bars and takeaways. It's easy to get to and is opposite a tesco store which has parking. (free from 6pm).Its far from glamorous and the toilets.... Well I'll leave that for you to judge but if you fancy a good venue to watch local bands up and coming just for a nice night out. It's a good place to go. And for bands. Def recommend a gig or 2 here
