Required to take cakes with tea. Walked out because they won't serve you tea or coffee on its own during afternoon tea hours. Were they full? No, 3/4 empty. And remained so, as we walked across the road to the Queen's Lane Coffee House, which was great. And had some cake...

I'm so much in love with this place! The afternoon cream tea is definitely worth a try and my absolute favorite. I usually take the lavender tea. Sooo delicious!

I visited The Grand Cafe at lunchtime on a Sunday with three friends. We all choose variations on the cooked breakfast, together with a cocktail to drink! The service was very good; all the variations were exactly correct! The food was delicious too. It is not a large space, but made to look larger by a huge mirror and very tall ceiling. There is a fabulous tea-pot acting as a counterweight to close the front door, which caused much facination. This was my first visit; but I will be returning...

We went to this nice Cafe but our experience was awful, we ask for a tea and scones, but even though they were delicious, the waitress and manager did not want to bring us another cup so we can share the tea, they say is one cup for one tea, we say we wanted to share the tea and they keep saying the same story. I told them that in my country you ask for another cup, or plate and they bring it to you with a smile!!! The manager didn't solve our issue, we were almost going....don't recommend this place, choose another with and open minded manager!!!

Great experience and we had good service, so no complaints. But with two kids - bloody EXPENSIVE!50 for four drinks and a cake or pastry each. It was our choice, so again, shouldn't really complain. Kids were fascinated with the huge mirrors
