Lovely place with great coffee and an excellent cause. Very pleasant atmosphere, too.

A cafe with heart, also known as the Skylight. It is located in the Old Fire Station next to the Arts Centre so you can collect a leaflet to read with your coffee and gaze at the original roof beams, and imagine a handsome fireman sitting next to you. This is an, airy, warm space to indulge in a large or half size breakfast, one of the specials on the lunch board or indulge in a fresh pastry, brownie, carrot cake or a yummy.... gooey caramel millionaire shortcake. ( Fork recommended ! )The cups and saucers aren't always matched perfectly by colour but who cares. Waiter service to the table after purchase ensures your drink is individually created as is the hand drawn design on the top. They offer special staff training, working with the homeless to give them valuable work experience. All your purchases whether eat in or takeaway contribute to this worthy scheme. The only drawback is the early closing time of 3.30. Perhaps this review will help increase the clientele and create the demand to extend at least until 5 pm.

Lovely. I ordered mocha it was just perfect and staff is very curteous as theg helped me customized my sandwich and ambience is also good.

Great food simply served at a very affordable price. Hot sandwich and a hot drink at lunch for less than 5, decent portion main course and a hot drink for less than 8. I like what this place does and how it does it. Deserves lots of support.

Cheap and cheerful. Probably shouldnt be graded 5 stars or best cafe in oxford on trip advisor based on their food and tea and coffee. Deceiving for out of towners. Very cheap, which would be appealing for students and others on a budget. I would rather pay more for good quality produce. Hence the 3 stars.
