The cafe used to be the perfect place to go for a good variety of vegetarian dishes served in ample quantities by interesting and friendly staff, all operating in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. However since the new owners have bought it, all that seems to have disappeared. Food:Bland, overcooked and notibly reduced portions. The skimping of the ingredients in the quiche and flans is obvious and bulked out with the cheaper ingredients. The cakes on display are of no exception often stale and dry. It doesn't inspire confidence in buying any if customers can talk, cough and sneeze on them as they are not always covered whilst displayed on the service counter.Environment:The tables, cutlery and glasses are sticky, smeared and cloudy respectively. The bad ventilation harbours a sweaty and musty smell that is quite nauseous at times. The atmosphere is disturbed by the repetitive background music that is somewhat annoying rather than soothing. The management:Clearly hasn't continued the successful and welcoming ethos of the previous owners which is a shame as the majority of diners have enjoyed years of good food, value for money and respectful hospitality in the past. The most frustrating thing is the passive aggressive attitude from her when you try to raise any concerns. I've witnessed storming off into the kitchen, sulking and glaring at diners if they "dare" to question their negative experiences. It's going to be some time before I will arrange to meet friends there or collect a takeaway in the future. I really couldn't recommend the cafe until these concerns are resolved and we have the cafe back as we once enjoyed it. I really do hope to see an improvement soon. Just not hopeful right now.

Lovely atmosphere. Especially for families and peaceful work and relaxation. Delicious veggie food and absolutley lovely people too. A must place to stop by... and stay!!

Maybe it was just an off day given the rest of the reviews and I wouldn't normally want to give 1 star to anyone however the coffee was poor, the cake was stale and staff were not friendly. Maybe I don't fit into the trendy image of the place but I definitely did not feel welcome

It is a lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Lots of children and families attend and the boards are full of community posts with very interesting and attractive activities. The menu looks great and the space is really nice. However, the coffee was expensive and badly done TWICE! A latte should not be a challenge for a barista and both times was bad and weak. Otherwise, the place looks nice

Lovely peaceful place with friendly - family atmosphere with great very healthy food and various dishes. Hidden jewel of veggie culture with long tradition... love it here!
