Very competent hotel. The best thing about it is that it is not "chain" of you know what I mean. That and being close to the station.

Rooms are basic but clean and functional. Could do with redecoration and modernisation. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Good parking. Very close to station and town centre. Nice location by the river.
Decor very dated and old fashioned.but clean room and awesome breakfast and very friendly staff.and they look after your bags for free after checking out.within walking distance of town centre and a nice walk around by river.
Stellar service, fantastic breakfast. Very generous breakfast in fact too, cooked hot to order and with a cold buffet to indulge in too. Room is comfortable, quiet, and clean. The hotel is in an old traditional building, and the decor is in the same style. So yes it is more on the traditional English side than modern, but it's clean and perfect for what I needed. Centrally located and with a generous free parking lot. I could not be happier. The bath and shower were also phenomenal.
